  • 3:00- 4:30 History of US Libraries and Immigration
  • 4:30- 5:00 Tour of Canaday Library
  • 5:15 Dinner with Librarians

Day Two: Information Literacy, Social Justice + field trip

  • 9:00- 10:30 Information Literacy / Research and Instruction
  • 10:30- 10:45 Break
  • 10:45-12:15 Libraries + social justice
  • 12:15- 1:15 Lunch
  • 1:30- 5:00 Field Trip to Free Library of Philadelphia (1901 Vine St. Meet in the 1st floor lobby at 2pm)

Day Three: Scholarly Communication, Metadata + Special Collections

Day Four: Information Ethics, Digital Scholarship + field trip

  • 9:00- 10:30 Information Ethics
  • 10:30- 10:45 Break
  • 10:45- 11:30 Digital Scholarship
  • 11:30- 12:15 Work on presentations
  • 12:15- 1:15 Lunch
  • 1:30- 5:00 Field Trip to University of Pennsylvania (Van Pelt Library, 3420 Walnut St, entrance faces away from Walnut St. Meet at Broken Button sculpture at 2:20pm)

Day Five: Presentations + Grad School & Careers + Transcription/Letterlocking

  • 9:00- 9:15 Organize Presentations
  • 9:15- 11:15 Presentations
